The “DIY” (Do It Yourself) project is designed to empower women in rural areas by providing them with practical DIY skills. Through hands-on workshops and educational resources, the project aims to foster social connections, promote economic independence, and challenge gender stereotypes.
The General Objectives are:
– Increase women’s confidence and independence in performing DIY tasks.
– Enhance women’s ability to effectively carry out home maintenance tasks.
– Strengthen social connections and community cohesion.
– Challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity in the DIY sector.
– Ensure the long-term dissemination of the project’s results for ongoing benefit.
Main Outcomes:
– Increased confidence and independence of participating women in tackling DIY tasks. As well as improve their skills.
– Improved ability to carry out home maintenance tasks. And acquire a positive attitude towards DIY tasks.
– Have stronger social connections and greater community cohesion.
– Reduction of stereotypes and increased inclusivity in DIY.
